ROSS Conf Berlin

Berlin's next Ruby Open Source Software Conference and Hackathon

September 26, 2015 @ Wooga

ROSS conf is a one day mini-conference bringing Open Source Software maintainers and developers together in one room. Or in multiple rooms, to be fair. The projects participating in its second edition include Bundler, Ruby Object Mapper and... Ruby itself. In the morning bit the project owners will introduce their projects and share what would need work in the afternoon hackathon-y part.

Ruby is the interpreted scripting language for quick and easy object-oriented programming. It has many features to process text files and to do system management tasks (as in Perl). It is simple, straight-forward, and extensible.

Panamax makes creating Docker applications easy. It provides a friendly interface for users of Docker, Fleet, CoreOS, Kubernetes, and supports remote application deployments to cloud providers.

Bundler provides a consistent environment for Ruby projects by tracking and installing the exact gems and versions that are needed. Bundler is an exit from dependency hell, and ensures that the gems you need are present in development, staging, and production.

Ruby Object Mapper

Ruby Object Mapper (ROM) is an experimental Ruby library with the goal to provide powerful object mapping capabilities without limiting the full power of your datastore.

The Speakerinnen List aims to increase the visibility and participation of women at conferences, panels and talk shows. Organizers and hosts can find experts who share their knowledge. Women can register in our database with the topics they are interested in covering. The project is made and maintained by women of a RailsGirls group called the rubymonsters.
